Our world extends beyond the city of Lexington. FBC participates in mission action around the world by giving to the Cooperative program of the Southern Baptist Convention. We are excited to invest resources through mission work from Lexington to all areas around the world. Here is a current project of several that we invite you help us with.

Operation Christmas Child

Operation Christmas Child is a year long event . We are gathering item each month with a goal of filling 200 boxes for shipment in November 2017.

Each month we have specific items we want to collect. The goal being that each box will fill six needs of a child, to give them something to wear, something to play with, something for school, something to love, something special, and something for personel hygiene.We can achive this goal with your help by collecting these items each month.

January – hats, gloves, scarves.

February – Accessories.

March – Quality Crafts.

April – stuffed animals.

May – hygiene items.

June – toys

July – clothing.

August – School Supplies.

September Games.

October – cards or letters .

November – postage.

December – Prayers

Lexington Harvesters Food Distribution

Your HELP is needed as the Lexington area churches and volunteers rally to host a monthly Harvesters Food distribution, starting in 2017 at the Lexington UnitedSlide27 Methodist Church. This group of volunteers is seeking your help once a month (every 2nd Monday of each month) to help pass out food to 70-80 families. Regardless of your physical abilities — we have something for everyone to help. Please contact Pastor James Streicher at 660.259.3915 to join with this exciting event each month.
